Title: The White Lion, Ambleside.

In my opinion, the best meals for miles around Ambleside. We went there last year for the Christmas procession and after having a drink or two in the bar, decided to have a meal in the restaurant. The waiter found us a table for four following a very short wait and the portions had to be seen to be believed !. The food and the service were excellent and we returned the following night and enjoyed the same excellent standard. The prices were very reasonable and they also do bed and breakfast. We eat there each time we are in the area and we cannot reccomend it enough.

Have you tried the Newby Bridge Inn?

at Newby Bridge, South Lakedistrict.

we were in the area on monday night. had a hard days laning then went to stay in the YHA at ambleside.

we ate and drank in the Wateredge Inn, very nice place great food and excellent service! and they serve real ale! :D
