After the reaction to this Poll (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=16758), I thought; "I'll try & capture a few"
Now this is going to be a damn hard one to do, at there was (apparantly) only 275 built (UK market only??)
This follows on from the long running (& now missing in action) 'Fabulous 50th's'[/i] thread, whch had reached about 19pages?? (bet I can't stretch this one out that much???)
So a few (repeated) bits about the specification (& mine)
1999 'V' plated
12 seats as standard (mine has an all-steel cubby-box)
Bronze Green & Sage Green were the available colours (not even seen a picture of a Sage 110)
Green leather seating (complete, not just the faces)
Silvered door & bonnet hinges
Ivory instruments with chrome bezels
Running-bars/side-steps
'XS' style alloys on 110 (Discovery 1 XS) & 'Free-Styles on 90
Admittedly I'm having a few 'teething troubles' with mine, which are annoying after an incident free 30,000miles in the Discovery (Discovery breakdowns = 2 new bulbs & a new tyre)
It's been out today over to the wilds of the Lincolnshire coast (a 190+mile round trip), with only a coat of road-grime to show for it.
We went 'Seal Hunting'
(See here) (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=16923)
I'd like some higher gearing at some point (spoilt by Discovery??), perhaps the GKN overdrive?, as it seems more logical than raising the high-range gearing, especially for towing.
-
And here it is, captured on Wednesday 4th (January) with the Ifor-Williams at the local land-fill after a trip with all the rubbish since the last collection (2 weeks prior)
Can't get through the gate now, too high, had to have it opened for me
-
Thats it im gonna be sick....with envy..
I think the 50Th are thr dogs!!!,, I would plump for a SWB if i could but they got it right all the bits and bobs in the right places and you defo have the right colour..
I am waiting to sell my house and i am on the hunt for one myself

Ermmm... it's not a 50th

Good luck looking for a 90 - 50th, there's 2(?) in the private sales in the Feb 'LRM'
-
Be-stickered, applied on Saturday morning (nice & quiet at work, parked only about 30yards from department as well
Apologies for poor quality images, it was wet & manky when I took them
-

Thanks Jake :D
If you ever see a Sage Green 110, snap it, it's the rarest combination of the 4 offered
It was available, but I've never even seen a picture of one :?
-
Sorry it's not a good image, as it was a gloomy day.
But here's the green leather
-
Whoopeee!!
The postman has just been & I've got the registration documents back.
My Defender is now officially S50 RAT =D> =D> =D>
-
There's usually a sage green 90 up the road from my office, think the owner is a member of MROC from what I remember - if I see it I'll try and get a pic.

Just been to Guy-Salmon & got some plates made :D
Phoned Adrian Flux to notify them & they didn't even want an 'Administration Fee'  (as I'd expected), they said it was because I had a 'Cherished Plate' on the Discovery & expected me to be changing it (plus it had happened within a calendar month)
-
now that BTM is one hell of a good lookin landy and the plate suits it, i saw in LRM i think a sage green 90 for about 11000 now that colour i do like :D yours is very classy well done happy motoring

Ian
Blimey that links takes up some width
No, the wheels were colour-coded on early models (that one may have sat around in a showroom/compound for a while)
It's quite a bit dearer than mine was.
Sorry, not thinking before hand, the correct colour is (as stated) Atlantic Green

During a trip out this afternoon to Skelmanthorpe to take 'Small-Child' & SWMBO to a class-mates birthday party, I continued onwards to Penistone in order toreturn the documentation for my old Discovery as I received it back during the week & it was the first chance I got to go over.
To my surprise it was sitting on the forecourt glinting in the sunlight, i almost wanted to take it back home with me
The first few 'WebShots' published images of S50 RAT (http://community.webshots.com/album/533244076DLzOxD), more to come throughout Spring.
It was nice to (mentally) compare the 2 vehicles over the route I went to Penistone.
I know the 110 has lower transfer box high-range gearing, but it still climbed a gear higher (or without appearing to struggle)
-
I knew I'd get one (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=4215)
See here as well (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=1198)

will keep an eye out over here and take piccies if i can

You've still got to catch Dominic Blyth yet, so meet him before looking for 'Heritages'
He owns the Defender 50th up at the old cottages near the light-house
his business site (http://www.saniman.co.uk/)
-
he passed me the other night , often see his motor outside his house but never see him around with it . Will park outside his house next time and blow the hooter till he appears?

Never met him face-to-face, but whenever I 'speak' to him on the 'Defender50th' forum, he asks if I want to call over whenever I go to Royston Vasey-by-the-Sea.
As you can probably understand RV-b-t-S isn't exactly my idea of paradise
-
We were passing Simmonites today and thought we would drop in for a nosey.... anyway they had this in so I grabbed a couple of pics .....sorry about quality was on my phone
-
Thought they'd still got that one, we almost went to look at that.
It was on the 'viewing list', as I didn't expect the one I bought still being on sale, allowing for the 'lead time' of magazine adverts.
It's a nice colour, suits the 90 better than the 110
I'm given to understand that Simmonites have a (shall we just say...) certain reputation over their pricing.
-
Well John bought a hi-lift jack and paid a little over the odds but not much.......some of the prices they quoted though nearly had me choking! They quoted 16 pounds more than our regular place for a defender cubby box and we asked for a price on a gear knob for the discovery and were quoted 35+ vat! Oh well you live and learn
-
I remember my old 110Tdi (http://community.webshots.com/photo/97182853/1102002307047309372NWRTiV) being in Simmonites & looking at it, then discounting it due to the price (& wanting even then a CSW)
So by the time we bought one, having been told by SWMBO that we only needed 2 seats & plenty of Dog-space, & decided that a 110 Hard-Top was sufficient, it re-appeared at Copley Motors (the Halifax LR main-dealer, on the road (http://uk.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=408500.999999615&Y=422500.945078376&width=500&height=300&gride=408699.999999615&gridn=422499.945078376&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=grid&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=true&zm=1&scale=25000) to Sowerby Bridge)
Without going into the details of the test-drive
Warp drive compared to my 2A Light-Weight. Cresting the hill to the M62 at almost 70mph (salesman driving)    & subsquent haggling over price, px & accessories
(and a test-drive of a new 4.6HSE at the time as well)
Simmonites were almost £700 dearer than the main-dealer (+ there wasa good warranty offered by Copley)
I know it was the same as I looked through Simmonites old 'LRO' adverts & found it (plus a Simmonites rear number plate under a seat)

This weeks projects.
Rear recovery (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=16817) is now sorted out (temporarily) & the tachometer is now finally re-positioned (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=17529).
The next steps are to install one of my pairs of Anderson Plugs (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=17471) & wire-up the 12S socket (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=18106)
-
Forgot
There's these 2 on my 'WebShots', so that's a start
V981 GND (http://community.webshots.com/photo/170172201/1235784527047309372eBNaWf)
V627 OGC (http://community.webshots.com/photo/344259925/1395697421047309372FwtiZz)
-
The 2 that *were* local have now gone.
I had'nt seen either of them in 2 years but since then i have'nt been looking.
I'll be on the hunt at the show's then
-
I've been out this morning up to my favourite little haunt.
To my intense disappointment the cafe (http://community.webshots.com/photo/134495436/1167107113047309372LXnUGn) I'd intended calling at was closed for renovation (just hope they don't 'renovate' the price-list as well)
Water was very low at the reservoir that is crossed to gain access to the western side of the bridge
Still, it was quiet down there, so I sat with my flask of tea & the 'Yorkshire Post'[/i] contemplating going up onto Ilkley Moor (http://community.webshots.com/photo/281497139/1394118730047309372xRoPGy) as well. Sadly it was a bit over cast & therefore not really worth the extra travelling.
I'll wait for a nice sunny day (like it's turned out now  )
Sorry. Some of the images are now in my 'WebShots' (110 'Heritage' album)
-
Saw the 90 'Heritage' in Simmonites this morning, whilst I was 'Out & About' (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=19004)
-
I'm 99% certain certain I saw an Atlantic Green 90 yesterday at a business address somewhere local.
But, for the life of me, I can't remember where it was to go back & look for it
-
There was a couple of 90's at Gaydon.
I got one of them here (http://members.mud-club.com/profiles/Jake/gallery/gaydon2006/0/40bdf8b3495e02e949a8dda727569fc1.jpg/).
:D
-
Thanks Jake, that's the one that was in 'LRW' a few issues ago.
Nice motor
-
I was out with 'Andy the Landy' & one of my neighbours yesterday (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=23650)
After meeting up with Andy we headed through Mossley (?) on the very south-western edge of Manchester.
In a driveway was sat a Bronze Green 90, complete with colour-coded alloys.
I'm pretty damn sure, it was registered as 'L90 LRO'
-
If I remember I'll look out for it tomorrow on my way to work and report back
-

Thanks Andy, I think it was Mossley, looking at my atlas. It was about 5-10minutes after we set off

Saw the vehicle in question today joining the M60 at Ashton
Not found where it lives yet :?
Their is another 90 Heritage in dark green resides at the top of Mottram Moor (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=400000.216235647&Y=395000.452693554&width=500&height=300&gride=399214.216235647&gridn=395859.452693554&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=freegaz&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=true&zm=0&scale=100000&in.x=3&in.y=10)

It had a matching trailer too.
I did'nt see the trailer till it was leaving and i then realised i did'nt have a camera to hand.
It had matching alloys as well. Looked really smart
:)

Could this be the one? Fabuous 50's (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=1214&highlight=heritage+model)
I have always seen the heritage and the 50th anniversary models and have always faniced owning one [-o< but it is a very faint hope. lol.

Thankyou, they're VERY bright as well
But I'm having a devil of a job to find a swing-away wheel-carrier that doens't interfere with them now
'Devon-Rover'
That's the one, it's a bit behind the times now, as I've seen 2 (new to me) FreeLanders recently
It says 'Missing In Action', as it disappeared during the glitches the site had last year, & the comment you quoted was posted before Tim ('Muddy-Web') recovered it
-
There's 3 for sale in the new issue (January) of 'LRO'
Page 191; High Peak 4x4 (http://www.highpeak4x4.co.uk/) in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
It's a Bronze Green 2000 ('V' plated) 110, with air-con.
Page 202; Private sale.
A 90 in Atlantic Green, 1999 ('V'), ABS & ETC

110. Bronze Green. 2000 ('W')
They still seem quite a rare sight to me, I've only seen 2 others (& that was before buying mine)

Found a nice picture of a Heritage 110 on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lyonheart/56373141/in/set-1220137/)
