Title: It's been a while - Passed MOT - Advice now needed on bolts
Post by: Kenny on June 06, 2007, 19:29:44
Having sat on the drive for the last year, new rear X member put on and passed MOT just like that. Rather pleased. Now I need to re-mount my tow bar, but alas I had to cut the old bolts off.

Can anyone advise me where I can get some new bolts. Looks as if I need 2 of the big blighters, 2 of the long thinner ones and 6 of the inch and a half ones. Stainless steel would be great, but anything will do.

TIA

Damian

They were very good when I used them.

did you do the X-member yourself???

Mine needs doing as it's brown and holey and the MOT man will say "no". It's beyond me and I've been quoted around £430 plus vat which sounds a lot??

Cheers,

David

Nope got my local RAC geezer to do it. X Member cost me £190 about 2 years ago, he fitted and got MOT for me for £200
