i am fitting a Rover v8 into my series 2a can i fit RR axles so i have CV joints on the front and all round dics brakes i don't really want drums with a V8!!!!!
many thanks

The fitting of Series LWB drum brakes on the front and the addition of a servo are plenty.
Fitting of RR axles can be done but there are steering arm issues or suspension mounting issues to over come......much easier to go for the LWB brakes option...IMHO :D

Agree with the above, LWB brakes would do fine. It's not like you intend to be going much quicker than the 6-pot and Stage 1 now is it? You'll just be getting there a bit quicker I imagine.

My 2a V8 has a stage 1 front axle so has the big drums on the front and standard drums on the back, pulls up very well.

i have the LWB brake setup on mine, and it will stop fine from well over the legal speedlimit
i do wish i had disk brakes tho, i nearly crashed last time i went through a deep puddle :( the brakes on the left side just didnt work when i tried to stop and it threw me over into the other lane

cheers i will kewp this in mind!!!!!

There is always another way - keep the narrow Series Axles and still get full-time FWD and disc brakes:

£500 isn't bad for a Disc kit I think. :-k Better yet, it's a Santana kit.
