Title: RR axels onto series 2a v8
Post by: yellow series 2a on June 02, 2008, 23:07:23: i am fitting a Rover v8 into my series 2a can i fit RR axles so i have CV joints on the front and all round dics brakes i don't really want drums with a V8!!!!!

Fitting of RR axles can be done but there are steering arm issues or suspension mounting issues to over come......much easier to go for the LWB brakes option...IMHO :D

Post by: Rich_P on June 03, 2008, 16:59:48: Agree with the above, LWB brakes would do fine. It's not like you intend to be going much quicker than the 6-pot and Stage 1 now is it? You'll just be getting there a bit quicker I imagine. :wink:

i do wish i had disk brakes tho, i nearly crashed last time i went through a deep puddle :( the brakes on the left side just didnt work when i tried to stop and it threw me over into the other lane
