Title: Indicator Woes
Post by: Yoshi on October 30, 2006, 14:53:25
My indicators dont work.  Me 4 ways work just not the indicators.  Have changed the indicator arm to rule out switch, this is fine with 12v going in and 12v going out of each switch terminal but yet i still dont have indicators!

Have also checked the fuses in the fuse box and replaced them with all new ones as well (this was needed anyway as they were older than the hills!).

Any ideas?

Yep best bet is that the Flasher Relays up the swanny, had the same problem.
The 4-ways are on a seperate flasher unit so they will still work.

Right, i cant find the flasher unit!  The manuals i have dont show you where it is, they just say to remove it and refit it!

Can someone enlighten me?  Its not on the bulkhead behind the dash panel, just been in there with fingers and a torch lol

looks like a relay (well I suppose cause it is one! ), usually on the base behind dash on the right hand side, sometimes screwed down - easily missed don't worry....follow the wires (not the yellow brick road) from indicator switch back into the dash and you'll come across it! Don't pull dash too much as you'll dislodge the speedo cable and then have to fix that aswell........don't ask how I know :(

Sitting in the drivers seat looking at it, It could be on a clip on the right hand side of the plastic panel - at the back, But it could be anywhere. Your best bet is as Robbo said is to follow the wires from the Indicator switch. The wire your after should be light green and brown.
