Title: Rough idle on start up
Post by: Landyrover on September 04, 2011, 14:16:02
Hi All,

In the last few days, my TDCi engined 90 has developed a problem. When starting from cold, the idle speed is very erratic for 10-15 seconds and then settles down to its usual steady rate. Any ideas - injectors? It's going back to the dealers on Wednesday to get a few minor problems sorted whilst its still under warranty, so advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks, strangely enough it didn't do it just now when I started it up for the first time today. Presumably there will be fault codes generated from the times it has in the last few days.

Sticking EGR valve diagnosed. No fault codes generated but garage said noise of self-cleaning routine when the engine is turned off is excessive. To be replaced (along with steering damper) under warranty
