Title: Daihatsu engine problem
Post by: horsethief on December 26, 2009, 21:41:07
My sportrak engine froze over the bad spell,(I know it should have antifreze in,just had to top it regulay and been to busy),defrosted it and try to start it after refilling the system, took a lot of water and 2l of anti freeze.Ran ok stopped it and now it won't run.At first thought it was the starter jammed, stripped the starter ok.Then thought  better check oil ,loads of oil in (too much)and a lot of water on bottom of dipstick.Question is ;Will it just be the cylinder head knacked of could it be the engine that's gone?if it is there's a sportrak going.Need help on this one  :undecided:

id have thought the block would be fine but youd have a couple  of bent valves in the cylinder head and a knackered head gasket.

ive got a sportrak for spares or repairs if your after a new 1.6 engine? is yours for road use?
