Title: Surf steering Gaurd??
Post by: Needalanny on February 24, 2007, 18:40:25
Hey all

My dad has a Yota Surf.
He has asked me to find out if he can get a steering gaurd for it.
It has an A bar with spots, so i figure there maybe some restrictions with them.

Does anyone know where you can get steering gaurds for the surf?
Price ranges would be good too.

All advice greatly received

Matt

The steering linkages are not too prone to damage on the Surf (you really have to be among the boulders to hit anything) as such there isn't much after market protection available (unlike Landrover). You might try looking on the USA Toyota 4Runner (American name for the Surf)sites to see what gear they've got as they are more into rock crawling over there.

I did a brief search but all I could find was skid/bash plates.

try a local engineering firm, they are usually quite good for things such as this... got quoted £30 for one for the landy!  :D
