It has got the range rover 3.5 v8 engine and i am thinking it's time to get some noise out of her. Would i be right to remove the middle box with a straight through pipe, will it be louder?? Do i leave the end can on?? Does anyone know where i can buy a replacement middle pipe or know someone who can make me one. Cheers

I made most of my system up from jetex parts, its two inch and has one minimal silencer (3" dia 18"ish long). Its real nice now, not too loud at low revs (gentle burble) but sounds like its going to chew your ears off when you push it hard. Its in a range rover but im sure you could do it in 90.
If i had time and money i'd up the bore slightly maybe to 2.5 or 3", reckon that would make the burble better. Possibly with a slightly bigger silencer for more back pressure.
Also if you mess about with it a lot it may want a re-tune

Cheers for your reply, sounds interesting. I have experienced lake of back pressure on a car before, and to be honest it was slow. So if i got a replacement pipe for the middle box do you think i would lose the back pressure? Have you heard of cherry bomb silencers?
