Title: fiat punto broken bonet catch??

hey guys Ive got a punto x reg with a broken bonet catch. the cable has snaped of the catch. any ideas how I can get it open ??

Can you get to the clips which hold the grill on?  If so there will be a couple of small bolts which hold the bonnet catch on which you should be able to get too.

looking up from under the grill in bumper you should see 2 bolts, you will need to undo these and lift the bonnet a few inches and with a screwdriver release the catch, and open bonnet, but the catch is likley to be seized solid, if its not then spray it with WD40 and then slap copper ease or white grease all over it

if it was a mk 1 it would be alot easier

a wire coat hanger does the trick on most motors. Get a loop in position on the catch through the front grill and most are easy enough to pop.
