Title: Spring Shackle & U bolt torque settings?
Post by: Doodlebug on February 16, 2006, 21:12:48
Just fitted new springs on a S2a 88", anyone know the torque wrench setting for the u-bolt nuts & the shackle bolts & nuts.

The poxy Haynes manual's about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

U Bolt  = 58lb ft
Shackle  Bolt = 60 to 70 lb ft
According to Green Bible

I'd be inclined to go with Mr Redlines method   :D
