After browsing last weeks 'Autocar' (http://www.autocar.co.uk/) magazine st work & just looking at their site, I found this
Ariel Atom (http://www.autocarmagazine.com/popups/video.asp?AR=215770)
That's bl**dy quick for a car
And the picture in this link (http://www.autocarmagazine.com/News_Article.asp?NA_ID=215672&EL_ID=3129584&ST=fromcurrentresults) was captioned along the lines of;
'Land Rover commence their revenge attack on GreenPeaces Amazon headquarters'
-
The Atom is a nice piece of kit, isn't it. On their website are videos of the Clarkson review - it's worth viewing if only to see his jowls flapping in the breeze.
http://www.arielmotor.co.uk and click on Press.
For the money, it would have to be very tempting compared to a high-end repmobile, but probably not quite so practical if you needed to pop to Tesco's in the rain.

Yes quite good aren't they??, seen him flapping them on something else
but probably not quite so practical if you needed to pop to Tesco's in the rain.
You'd get almost as wet as in a Series LR

Super quick car!!
anyone got one?
I fancy a go around a track.
Last thing i tore a track up with was the old fella's Ferrari Testerossa.
Goodwood circuit 1997.
Great day.

That's it go on, depress me even further....
All this talk of 0-100-0!!!!!!
I can't manage the 0-100 bit no matter how long you give me (1995 300Tdi Discovery).
But if anyone know a very very very long straight road with a decent downhill gradient (and preferably a tail wind) so I can manage it, please let me know.
Tim.
P.S.
Just considered, if I manage 0-100 down hill, I'm sure the brakes would be totally useless at that speed, so if you could find a downhill slope WITH a suitable uphill slope the other side that would be even more preferable.

[gloat] My Discovery can! [/gloat]
And the brakes are ace - just put some new EBC Green-stuff pads in and am very pleased!

All 3 of my Land Rovers can ..... and one of them goes considerably faster than it *should* :-)
-
my 90 v8 can but only with 205 fitted & in 4th overdrive
-
The RR3 has a limited top speed of 130/135mph. Guess who's not got a limiter :->
-
wonder if yourself or tim would let us havce a "show us ur speedo " page
-
As long as it was legal, and not on a public road, and you could prove it ;-)
I'll get you a pic of my speedo at 155mph if you want?
-
ok doke, ill go n put the 205 back on n give the 90 i gentle run at 4 in the mornin lol

...and you don't crash trying to get the camera pointed in the right direction
-
Bit blurry.....but heck DSC doesn't like going that fast!
-
Nice one Neil

FMWBP,thats quick,,whats all the warning lights around the speedo? do the rangies no do what the lotuses do & the speedo sweeps round to the stop then back when u switch the ignition on? shouldve included the revcounter to veryfie it
-
nope ... when you fire up a Range Rover it does the normal thing....i..e rev counter goes to the revs and speedo sits on 0.
Whats wrong with driving with your headlights on? And as I said ... DSC cut in because I was changing lanes, hence the indicator! 155 mph is well outside it's operating parameter!
