As a continuation of the thread; Last Photo Of S50 RAT (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=16462), here's the first official photo of the replacement.
Oh ye of little faith
I didn't actually say I'd bought a Blackpool Rocket (TVR) only that I;
Fancied one
Wanted one
Would like one (would still like one)
And garnished it with a few bits of information about them
Yes, it's a 110 Heritage.
October 1999 registration
48,000miles with full LRSH
Green leather & all the bits
Still on original plate until I can get to the DVLA office in Leeds on Wednesday
And you all considered I'd leave the 'Green Oval'  (tsk, tsk, tsk....)
-
Nice one BTM  . Wont be that clean for long, or are you going to buy shares in Auto Glym :D
-

Could I be in the monority here - but why leave the comfort of your disco for the one pictured above? :? :? :?
-
Well done, very nice :)
-
Nice one BTM. As far as TD5's go they don't get much better than the Heritage IMHO.
Never doubted your commitment to the Green Oval for a minute.....HONEST
-
Did the seller fill it with diesel for you ?
-
wow nice defender btm well done and happy motoring :D
-
BTM,
Looks very nice Richard.
Does this mean you'll be buying polish next
-
Excellent Richard :D :D :D
You must pop round sometime for a closer look
-
Nice truck... and for those who wonder why I seem to recall Top gear rating them as 'Ice Cool' :D Admittedly creature comforts won't be the same as the Disco but what a truck and with a few carful mods an awsome machine.
I've got a 110 on my future wish list. Done RRC , currently Disco for the Daily and Laguna, IIa and 101 as toys.
I'd really love a 90 but the kids and dog kid of rule it out, Shame LR didn't do a 100" with forward facing seats and a smaller rear load area.
We also Caravan so it's how many survival items I can fir in....BBQ... Beer....more beer...
Lee
-
Im like Lee. A 110 is definately on my list as the next vehicle from the Disco.
Now BTM time to discuss MODS :)
Brownchurch full length roof rack definately in order :)
-
Excellent Richard :D :D :D
You must pop round sometime for a closer look
Let me know where you are
Thanks people, it's a nice motor. Just got to chuck all my junk back in it.
Sorry, no, the vendor didn't top it up  (I did & it took £65.00 to brim it)
-

Drove very slowly past Brians house ('Felix Driver') & he was out like a shot from a gun     , bearing a S3/90/110 club membership form.
His eyes were gleaming when he saw it
-
Well BTM, mi Ma loves it but thinks the alloys need replacing with proper cream Landy Wheels

Are carparks where most of these see their off road life :P
Lets see pictures once it has been used for what it was intended for  complete with slightly misshaped running boards (or whatever they are now called).
-
good god i am glad to see that i am not the only boring git in front of a computer on new years eve :?
-
It doesn't leak, or let, water in!!!
How the hell did they manage that, all my door seals leak like rivers. Always got one of the footwells full of water?????????
-
It MUST leak, it is a landrover, if it doesn't leak how does the water get out?
-
He's parked it in the garage.
-
No honest, I drove home 22miles in the pouring rain & it all stopped outside
Yes, I was surprised as well. My Discovery had a stream down the interior of the windscreen whenever it got wet

Yes. As you stated, it's a separate entity to club membership? & freely available??

Correct  but some parts of the forum will only be accessible to members in the new year and IMO the membership fee is worth it :D

But you've got an Ebersp, Ebbers, Eborspra, one of those heater thingies. :D
I'm tough
I had;
1 winter with a bog-stock 2A Light-Weight (with an ill-fitting Hard-Top)
3 winters with a 110Tdi Hard-Top
1 winter with a 90V8-CSW
3 (& a bit)winters with the Discovery
None of them heated up on the way to work from where we used to live (they do now, as it's twice as far)
-
Lovely motor, I'd best not let Julie see it just yet or she will want one too. I think those 'running boards' could metemorph into tree sliders one afternoon whlist someone is at work though
-
You may recall i posted a copy from our transport law book regarding vehicles fitted with more than 9 seats are regarded as buses and therfore are not allowed into the outside lane of a motor way or carrage way with 3 lanes or above.
Could you look into it?
For yourself (so you dont get any daft points) and to put the rest of our minds at rest as to if this regards 11 seat Land Rovers.
I, for one, want to know that official line on this as a 110 is on my 'to-do' list at some point.
:D

It's on my 'To Do' list.
I'm going to enquire with a West Yorkshire Police Traffic Officer when I see one next at the Hospital

Nice motor,
Sorry to join this so late, but we all seem to have missed the vital question:
What does Joanne think to it?

She's happy that I'm happy & have got what I've wanted for absolutely years (wait till I start using the 'M' word* though)
I don't know if she'll drive it at any point though (only drove Discovery once in 3years)
I'll be she has a comment, or 2, about the middle-row seats
Well she used to drive (daily) the 110Tdi, as we were poorer then  & it was our only car.
It held no fears for her, she invariably won the supermarket parking challenge
*Modifications

Re-registered, but my 'original' user-name is unavailable, so it's slightly modified, but it won't let log in (down in memberlist)

Got any Steve Earle in it yet?
-
Got any Steve Earle in it yet?
No, not yet,as it's still got the tight-fisted LR radio/cassette
New alarm will come before a CD player, just so long as I can get Johnnie Walker I'm happy
Much as I like Steve Earle, I'd sooner share space with the Dixie Chicks (http://columbiarecords.com/dixiechicks/) though
-
Iwantthatone........ :D
BTW Tidy Landy
Tis a shame you have to thing alarm before music but I guess its a sign of the times we live in
-
Iwantthatone........ :D
Which one???
(if you're on about the 'Chicks')
-
=P~

-

I thought all Heritage 110's were 9 seaters anyway???
4 seperate seats in the back, three on the next two in the front.
BTM, if I've got your reg right, your 110 is listed as a 9 seater anyway according to the chassis number.
And build date is listed as: 20/07/1999
Very nice Landy though...
Ian
-
I see you managed to syphon the old Landy after all since the new one is showing full ! :D

No it's 2 3-seater benches in the rear & a cubby box in mine (the specific 'Heritage' brochure shows a 12seat arrangement)

(whilst trying to fit air-horns)

Postie brought the new VED disc & altered MoT certificate this morning, so I've just been to the local LR main dealer & got some plates made up :D :D
Put them on & informed insurance company, who quite surprisingly didn't charge me an 'Administration Fee' , as I'd bought the vehicle within the past month (Adrian Flux)

Parked up at work this morning.
Later on one of the Sisters came up to me & asked if I'd got a new 'truck', she always referred to the Discovery as a 'truck'.
"Well I know you saw it in 'my parking spot' yesterday afternoon?"
"I thought it was Andys*, I saw the plates today & realised it's yours"
