i a have found a electric drain on electric window lift this is the second time this has happened and last time i replaced the ecu with a second hand unit .are they repairable or is it a case of finding another second hand ecu.
-
I've heard of them being reaired for broken soldered joints before, not sure about the power drain. It's got me thinking though as my sister's is the same and we justr assumed is was the cack aftermarket alarm.

if anything like the disco then the ECU suffers from dry joints and can be easily repaired as RRB says, but that fault/repair is associated with non working windows not a current drain but maybe worth a look anyway seeing it's pretty easy to examine.

i have pulled the fuse out for rear windows and the drain has gone .i dont know if the relays are in the window ecu and are sticking or there are other relay else where
-
I had a water-soaked relay in the central locking on Blue and it burned out the motors.

The soft dash range rover it is the same ecu as in the disco 300 series one
