I think that must be routine. When my wife was hit on a roundabout waiting to pull out, they said that. She had two witnesses to say she wasnt moving, and they still tried it on.

Cheers guys, have been off work this week and be off next week as well, am still V sore and bruises just about coming out now!! as far as report goes Disco Eh!! not the only error as it was just me who went to hospital,, and no treatment given at roadside, was strapped up an all that as a precaution but walked into ambulance....must admit it looks a lot worse from that angle though.
as for rangie well its dead, might source another body but will probably get stripped and bits put in stock for the other 2 rangies. havent tried to run it yet but intend to have a go tomorrow...
-
Glad to hear your OK matey. I reckon you have my old rangie too The black one with silver strip. Is it on LPG ! I see you have done a few more bits to the old beast.
The front bumper is a prototype southdown's one for range rovers. Hard to make so I think you may have the only one
I sold it to a chap from southampton who comuted to wales !
-
At least you are ok.
cars can be replaced.
looks like one way to get at the prop UJs

Well, I have been absent from the club for quite some time, just having a look through some of my old posts and came across this thread.
this was finally settled out of court and I got paid out 3 months ago.. So it was just a little bit of a wait..!!
I had stopped doing much by way of off road playtime as the back is not what it was pre smash, and self recovery was getting a bit much. But I have recently discovered a local club with a good few members so I am looking to get back into the swing of things.

Yes!! that was me and that was your old rangie. Must say its the best one I have ever had. It had many gremlins but it always got us where we needed to go.
I swapped out the spring spacers as I had a problem on the motorway. a rear tyre blew out and I didnt even notice!! the shock was not long enough to let the rim touch the ground so I carried on my merry way at 60mph on three wheels.. untill I came to a bend in the road...then things got interesting.. [-o<
Another fond memory is of taking a long steep climb too fast and launching at the top, front about 8ft and rear about 3 ft in the air, the landing saw the drivers front shock punch up and take out the brake pipes from the master cylinder. this was the first obstacle on a play day, I cut the shock off and carried on without one, much to the annoyance of some other 4x4 drivers..
Well, looks like I got a fair bit of reading to catch up on.. Something I will get to tomorrow..
