Title: Tyre sizes
Post by: 3laner on May 05, 2010, 08:08:32
One of my mates has just bought a J reg 3.9 RR classic. It came with 16" disco alloys and very aggressive 265/75/16 mud terrains. He wants to put all terrains on but is unsure what is the best size to go for as he feels the current tyres are too big and noisy.
Has anyone got any suggestions on a good tyre size to use?

It would have had 235.70R16 from the factory

If it is fitted with 265, I guess it has a 2" lift, in which case 235/85r16 would fit, narrower than the 265, but the same height.
