Just got the bill in for changing my 300TDI Disco timing belt.

The kit was

what seals? - timing case cover gasket is in the kit 107 quid  kit consists of belt and tensioner pulley too - did they just fit the belt?

Find out the book time for the job and compare to their hourly rate.

just my view but if was booking mine in for any job like that i would have asked for a wriiten estimate before hand. That way there is no nasty surprise.
In answer to your question YES it does sound bloody expensive, especially for a 300 tdi.

that does seem rather steep!
altho ive not done a landrover timing belt at work, ive done plenty of other makes and we charge anywhere between 190 and 250 ish for a timing belt replacement including guide pulleys and tensioners that come in the kit.
its a bit late now tho as the garage has done the work and will want paying for it.
its always best to get an estimate before major jobs, as has already been said.

what seals?

There is a crank seal in the outer housing and one behind the bottom belt sprocket. I could be that these were changed also.
