Check http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/Default.aspx?deriv=19550 (http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/Default.aspx?deriv=19550). Assuming it's a post 01.03.2001 model, then it'll be £300 from April next year, rising to £310 from April 2010. The Auto model is being hit even harder
For this reason, I've replaced our written off TD4 auto (registered 31.03.2001) with a pre 01.03.2001 model (£185 ..... at the moment ... )

Yep. Sarah's TD4 is August 2001 and is an auto  IIRC, it goes to £410 in 2010

If you've a post March 2001 vehicle you can check its CO2 level by doing a "Vehicle Enquiry" here (http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/). All you need is the registration number and make.
My 2005 Td4 (manual) is currently in band 'F', and produces 205g/Km, so will be in band 'K'.
This means my tax now, next year and in 2010 will be £210, £215 & £245 respectively.
New tax rates are here (http://direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/HowToTaxYourVehicle/DG_172916).
HTH :)
Edited to correct a typo

When were they first registered? If it was before 1 March 2001 they won't have that info and you pay the flat-rate of tax (currently £185).
