Title: What does this wire do?
Post by: Mud_Medic on November 05, 2011, 22:25:13
Hi All Mud-Clubbers

A quick little question, in the title....

The wire I am talking about is an earth feed on my 00 V8 Disco 2, attached beneath the floor behind the rear wheel on the drivers side. It is beside the fuel filler pipes and the wire goes up between the inner and outer wing.

It is not the fuel filler flap, that still works.

Is it the aerial booster? That has never worked, I have drilled a whole in the roof and fitted another aerial for the radio, so if that is the case, it doesn't matter.

Strange for a landrover, I am trying to find the electrical circuit that doesn't work, and not having much success!

Many thanks

Ed

its an earth strap .. it will be conected a bit further up to the metal part of the filler pipe

It's a MI5 tracker.

The MI5 Tracker is mounted under the passenger seat.
