am going to tackle this tomorrow and was wondering is there a knack to it
my thoughts are to depress the brake pedal and unscrew the switch.. is it that simple?
-
Should be - just a locknut over the switch assembly holding it in place and push on spade connectors on the rear.
Have you tested it then?
-
no havent tested it yet
-
Easy enough to test. My guess is that there'll be 2 wires into the plug for it, so just connect across them if the brake lights come on everything else must be working.

erm fixed
if only bulbs when they blew that they showed signs of this!
immobiliser fixed too.. wires were indeed corroded
oh and diff seal fixed too!

For future reference is there an easy way to get at the bulbs where a seat is fitted in the rear? We had to unbolt the seat :(
