That is Bloody Loverly.  I aren't usually into yank stuff.  I might have a 60's Pontiac GTO if i had to choose though.

Given the fact that we can officially get the Corvette, I wonder if it will also come over?

Surprisingly Ford aren't making any attempt to import the Mustang

Not wishing to put a downer on what are two fabulous looking cars =P~  - but given the legendary handling of American iron in a straight line and the bendyness of UK roads - is it really a surprise?

Darn shame.

Mustang still has a live back axle doesn't it, some sports car?

The drag-racers in the USA demanded one, they still have a lot of 'weight' in automotive circles

'Fraid not.

It was considered that the independent rear end it was designed to have was 183kg heavier than the solid axle it now has. Ford beleived there was insufficient improvement in handling to compensate for the weight penalty.

It was also a darn sight cheaper - and that carries far more 'weight'

Sorry but a proper sports car should be RWD with a live beam axle.  All this multi-link independant stuff is for ponsy, marshmallow shaped jap-c**p driven by hairdoes too frightened to cope with a car that does sideways.

IMHO

BTW Richard, my mate is selling the TVR if you've got a spare 10k

Mmm, swap it for a Discovery
