Can anyone tell me the best way to start sorting out this problem?
The engine has had a small amount of muddy water sucked up through the air filter through the air flow meter into the Plenum and as you can guess through to the cylinders!
I have taken out the plugs to find a small amount of water residue on the plugs. The dipstick has signs of water contamination.
The Engine turned over, so im guessing that is a good thing? (Not an hydrualic siezure scenario)
Any help on where to start would be of great value
The engine is a 3.5 Efi

airfilter off up to the airflow meter. apply plenty of wd 40 through the airflow meter inlet and persist until she starts. it shouldnt take that long to get her going. make sure you did get all the water out first by turning over with plugs out, some wd 40 direct into bores will aid the process, i remember this well from 2 weeks ago and that was alot of water in all bores. :roll: :roll:

change the oil
then put some crap oil with flush in
run for 2 mins change that
repeat
put good oil in

Cheers for the advice on the oil change, once i had got her fired up! Knew then i could get and do the oil without knowing that it was worse than i first thought :wink:

One thing which I personally find quite nice on mud-club is that you won't get lots of people saying "yeah, do what he said"
Generally speaking, if the first couple of people give advice which looks sound, then there won't be a lot of extraneous posts.

I did not wish to offend! This site had the most constuctive attitude towards the problem.
Other Forums were less productive. ie Devon4x4

no probs mate, just glad you got sorted.
i do know what you mean about this site though, either alot of people cant be bothered to reply or they have never come accross the problem which i find a bit odd.

Wish I could get my engine to run for long enought to get water in it.
