Enough is enough 2 bonnet cables gone and I want some quick release straps like you get on the military vehicles.
Anyone know if these are suitable for a 90 and secondly where they can be purchased. Hoping to get this and many other bits and bobs done before the 4 hour trek to the birthday bash thisn month.
Many thanks

if you get the front panel from an early on like mine, they have the catch just under the front flap . Ive had no probs.

Rally style/type bonnet pins might be an option

Both quick release straps and bonnet pins can be obtained from most motorsport suppliers. (Merlin Motorsport, Demon Tweeks, etc)
I have a pair of race bonnet pins on Tigger, and I can vouch for their suitability in the event of an emergency..... like a raging engine bay fire for example

Thanks for that chaps.
I have had a look and come up with these :-

Do you think that they would be suitable.
Cheers

They should do the job, but may be worth looking round billing if you are going, prob find more of a choice and price range there, you can always order them after or if they are there get them

Not going to Billing as still preping the car for the mud club birthday bash. I need to get this done whilst I have the radiator out as under normal circumstances I have to remove the winch, winch bumber and stainless steel grill to get to the Bonnet Cable which is currently knackered.

When mine snapped, I just made a loop out of the remains and poked it out of the grill. Now just have to pull the loop to open the bonnet. As does a poential thief. But then, my gun is faster to the end of the drive than the average thief.

why dont you get the ones like neil has on his bonnet
from scorpion i think damo

Solved !!!
A friend of mine has an old S III in his yard with rubber straps in good condition. Just got to remove them - cost a pint.. At last should be able to get my radiator back in.
