Think the steering columns differant on later models.

Will Montego, Maestro, etc.... fit?

montego wheels dont fit the defender,i had the same prob when i bought a smaller wheel from ebay & i struggled to get a boss for under £50 so my machinist mate is gonna make me 1 using the splined centere fron the old steering wheel & mill a disk to be attached from a lump of steel.

Paddocks do alternative steering wheels, but not sure what for, could ring them and enquire

Yes they are Mountney wheels,

"15" Mountney 3 spoke steering wheel - black (or Silver) spokes"

£25.10+VAT

Also
"Centre Boss for above wheels upto '89/'90          Ã‚£8.90 "

They must have been what I saw
