Well I finally got it to work today :D
I've replaced pipes... overhauled the actuator and fixed the switch. All appeared ok. Then I got stuck while off roading out by Stanage, right at the bottom near to the carpark. Front wheel dropped in a hole and rear wheel lifted clear of the ground
Fortunately a very light pull from Chris in his 101 restored forwards motion.
By this point the bulb had blown in the Diff lock indicator.
So today I replaced the bulb and to all intents and purposes the diff lock according to the light still appeared to work... very well in fact... immediately cameon and off according to the bulb.
So after several treks around the estate to try and detect wind up.. nothing, diddley squat!
Beat it with a hammer (rubber mallet) , still nowt.. Jacked one front wheel, still nowt.
Stripped down tha actuator and this was all working fine. Slid the ring across with a screwdriver.. again fine and checked the wheel.. locked. H'mmmm.
Reassembled properly and works a treat. can only assume some fool built it up wth the arms not engadging the rings ](*,)
Whats more , cost nowt , my favorite price!

Any prizes for guessing who
Glad it's working again, I'll get those routes to you and we'll have to find you some more 'holes' to try out

I'd not had this bit stripped down so it would have been either the REME or Aschurch Military Vehicles establishment
Just glad it's sorted

Glad you got it sorted, i've picked up a not to clever vibration when I reach about 35mph now, not a clue what it's from though.

H'mm given recent activities I'd check the prop shafts first.
Is it a constant vibe not to be confused with square tyres syndrome?
(like I get if it's been parked for more than a few days... wears off after the 1st mile)
I'm hoping to run a trip across some lanes in Oswestry on April 8th if Nerc doesn't put the spanner in the works. You up for it vibrations permitting?
-
Probs were the first thing I checked, had 1 knackered UJ which I replaced this morning, getting lax in my maintenance, which I thought would cure it, but it hasn't. We don't seem to suffer from the square tyres anymore since we switched to radials, I know what you meen though it's a weird feeling. it almost feels like I've got a lump of mud stuck off centre on a wheel but there isn't any, may have to strip the barak drums off and have a peek in side.
May be up for the laneing work/house and truck depending

The ones I give you are all UCRs I think. So NERC will not change them.

So what do we lose under Nerc?
-
We will lose BOATs and some ORPAs.
NERC can not change UCRs.
