Title: 'Interesting' night...
Post by: V8MoneyPit on July 04, 2009, 09:50:36
Oliver, our 8 month old son, is at the sofa surfing stage and last night he fell over and split his head open on a cabinet. Nasty deep gash in his forehead. Fortunately, it didn't bleed too much so it must have missed any major veins.

So we took him to A&E in Norwich. Got there about 7.30. We were sent through to the childrens area so he could play safely. There were 3 other patients there too. By 11.30, not a single member of hospital staff had been in the room, let alone seen anyone. One of the other parents went off to find someone and within 5 minutes a doctor arrived along with a nurse and we were dealt with within 15 minutes.

Now, I know hospitals can be stretched at times, but it looked like we had all be forgotten  The fact that someone instantly appears after a complaint doesn't look like a coincidence to me.

Not impressed.
