Title: immobiliser troubles
Post by: 3laner on August 14, 2007, 20:13:19
got a cat 2 sigma immobiliser that came fitted when I bought the car,it starts sometimes when its been left for a while, but most other times it wont disarm and my 90 wont start. Is there anyway to disconnect it without damaging the starter electrics, all the wires are taped together in the fuse box. other than that is there anyway to start it?

Not hard - in the slightest - to bypass if you want to get it running for the time being!!

I'd imagine that the immobilser is only interupting the supply to the starter motor (solenoid) so a length of wire with a spade connector on one end, and 12v on the other wil get around that!!

At worse, the immobilser will also be working off the fuel solenoid (but unlikely) but it is only another length of wire, again with a spade connector and a 12v supply to bypass!!!

If you want any more info drop me a pm
