sounds like Fuel pump timing or Another Fuel Fault

have you tryed changing Fuel Filter, we had a BMW X5 doing similar, i.e. difficult to start, rough running, loss of power and revs

do these faults sound like the problems you are having??

That certainly sounds like a control fault; most probably a sensor not working properly and it's trying to compensate.

What you need is to get it plugged into a Diagnostics setup and that will probably just tell you straight off what the problem is; who recovered you? I would have thought they would at least tell you that if they could not do it themselves.

:) Just a few words to let you know what has been found, 2x delaminated Turbo pipes and a plastic one with a split in it. All being replaced as we speak. Once again thanks for your suggestions and help, Bazz. :off topic: :troll:

That is surprising; that would normally restrict air supply causing black smoke rather than white.

Mind you if the air flow sensor was saying no air I suppose it would cut the fuel out and give white!

Hi wavey, the faulty pipes were causing another turbo pipe to colapse and choke the engine, now o/k and quieter than before, and slightly better power delivery, Bazz.
