i just spoke to the wife and its time the gecko went and time to go for a 90 im putting it to you lot what to do

why the change? you will be cramped in a 90 after being in a disco, you do get used to it after a while though

Is it your only Car? I've voted for a 90 cos i've got one and love it but if you've a family and no other Car they are a tad small and your Wife will hate it as they are too high for lasses to get in without moaning and they don't like the noise.

i got the disco becouse the wife could not drive and the baby had togo inthe car but now she has a car and the new one will be all mine was thinking of a truck cab 90 ??????

disco's are more costly to fix when you bend them plus 90 is more fun

can fit a lot of kids in the back of a truck cab and then put some tarpoling with a rachit strap around the lot hmmmmmmmmmm just picture it in your head :roll:

Why a T/cab? They look good but are awfully impractical (although warm up quicker inside), a Van is more practical.

Seems a shame after the time and money you've spent on it.
Can you not get a truck cab series 3 for play time??

thing is jake i want things like pas and the fact i find it hard to fit in to a 90 getting in to a ser 3 i have to have me arm out the door

Get a 90 over a disco anyday for off road.
you'll have more fun and bend less panels in the process!
A truck cab is cool to drive and is well chuckable, but a hardtop is far more practical - your choice

its only got to fit me in there so thats why i want a truck cab

i got a 90 van for day to day & its great although a disco would be more refined but i can go places with the 90 discos wont look at,also dont have carpets in the truck to worry about

i got to say i think you can get a disco in the same place as a 90 but its what you would to to the disco

Hmmm, not so sure! :wink: You've got to be wanting to do some pretty extreme stuff to really 'use' the 90s advantages over a properly specced Discovery.
Don't get me wrong, I always wanted a 90, but now I am a Discovery convert. I haven't found anywhere that I really want to go that I can't get to in the Discovery.
I like the fact that I can use it all day off road, then get back on the motorway on the way home and fly past 90 & 110 owners in comfort and can hear the radio.

Although I really like the look of a 90 - I'd still rather have my Discovery :D Hence I voted "keep Gecko" :wink:

After how much fun we had over the weekend, I'd say keep him. :D
After all, you've already kitted it out and have a head full of plans for what to do next.

most time when we go out and there is a disco in the group there is normally always some damage to it, whether it be due to the overhangs or the barrel sides.
To spec up a disco to make it as versatile off road as a 90 you really have to chuck some serious £s at it.

At the price you got it for who cares if you scratch it, plus you have all those great ideas of what else you want to do to it!
and a Disco for people as rotund :lol: as us if far more comfortable!!!!

:(thinkhard): get rid of of the disco u mad i love 90 drivin loads, but i can put my disco anywhere they can go ok my is preety beefy but witha little more work on urs she will spot on keep or u cant come on the plain [-( just kiddin she looks a good landie but wish u luck with wot eva u choose, oh when u nxt up my way for some fun on the plain..

I've just gone from a 90 to a disco its like going from poundstrecher to john lewis
The good thing is I wont get a frozen elbow
There is another option go to a rangie and spec the hell out of it

did that b4 ive had swb ser 3 a 110 a range rover and 2 discos one v8 and 1 300 tdi so i think its got to be a 90 next

Plus you have to think about your daughter! Whilst she is so young? Think about it! swmbo is out and you are looking after the little'un and something crops up? and you need to go out? the only vehicle available is that NOISY 90???????????

That basically why i changed from a 90 to a Disco because my Daughter hated the 90 ....................

im sorry to say the wife took one look at the 90 and fell in love with it as did i so we went and got it so the gecko is no more but thanks for all the feed back ive had
