well, its my first jeep. Have had and modded plenty of other 4x4's but not one of these. Sooooo, some quick questions. Oh, its a 2.5td
I want to fit some 31's have no need to go any bigger (although 33's look ace). What is the best way to give it a mild lift.? The rear dif is sounding a bit grumbley, but i have got a complete 4.0lt rear axle. I belive the ratios are different, so would it be better to get a matching front dif and go to the 4.0lt ratio's if i am fitting bigger tyres.?
Is there a locker available for the diffs.? Where is best for aftermarket parts, such as a snorkle, winch bumper etc..? I know specialist leisure are jeep guys, and are not far from me. Are they good to use.? Does anyone have any experiance of them.?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make the right choices first off.....
cheers......jon

Going to 4.0L axles is the wrong way (3.56 gearing) - from a diesel it would be to 2.5L petrol axles (4.1 gearing) - then speedo would be spot on for 31" tyres.

2.5 petrol it is then.... :D

If you go for facelift ones (1997 onwards) they should be Chrysler 8.25 axles with 29 splines, with an open diff. These are very strong half shafts
Then buy an aussie locker to go in the rear ;)

or if your not bothered about a locker i have some 27 spline ones that will do the job just fine, and they will be cheap :D
