Title: steering wobble

just reacently changed the breaks on the fronts a couple of weeks ago, since then doing town driving (30 - 40mph) the steering wobbles but above 45mph it disappears, any ideas or anyone experienced this????

you might have knocked a wheel weight off while playing with it get your wheel balancing checked its only usually about £6 a wheel

Whilst I agree it could well be a wheel weight........

If I were you I would immediately (if you have not already) check the wheel nuts and torque them all up!

Also try removing and refitting the wheel, its possible that you miss aligned it and its bound up in the studs, same applied that the disk needs to be sat true on the hub (could haev grit or somthign behind it)

id imagine though that your symptoms would be a bit more severe than you describe if it was those.

so lets hope its just a weight.

thats the first thing i done - nearly had a similar fate with lose wheel nuts on my old Disco so im a bit paranoid bout the old nuts!!!

the weather has been crap to really check anything else tbf, as soon as it clears i will get it up and check out anything obvious!!!!

sound like it mite be steering joint or front bearings any squicks or knocks

fatboy, no sqeaks but there is a small knock when the breaks are applied, just as the gravity changes on the front but once under load its gone!!!!!
