Title: bio diesel
Post by: graham78 on March 21, 2007, 20:55:38
in light of the recent budget where would one stand with getting the 4x4 running on bio diesel and effectively cutting the carbon emissions, then getting the car re-certified as a lower band on the emissions scale and therefore paying less than the 300 to 400 tax ripping???
any thoughts????

My thoughts would be that you cant. The tax ppls argument would be that there is no/little conversion needed and it would stop you running on regular derv.

If its a 2006/7 registered 4x4 best bet is to block in the rear windows and have it reclassified as a light commercial. tax drops to less than £200 then.

Alternativly get a pre 2006 model £180 to £210 or there abouts.
