Hi hope someone can help what tyre pressures do you run with 235 85 16 BFGs on the road?
-
Which defender have you got? Are the tyres at or mt? Is the car fully laden most of the time or empty?
-
Its a 200 TDI 90 and usually empty. They are ATs.
-
I would start at 30psi front and 34psi rear and go from there.
-
you should be able to work it out exactly the correct psi from the tyre manufacturers specification for load index, bulge size of tyre at bottom blah blah for any given application but I've never been able to find a good reference on how to do it so I shove the all encompassing 30/32 psi front and 32/34 rear.

Thanks for your help :azn:

Look at the side wall of the tyre, should say something like 50 psi at 1000kg's. Find out your axle weight, divide by 2 and then work out a per psi per kilo rating from the side wall, quick bit of multiplication and you'll have the correct tyre pressure for that tyre on a specific vehicle.
