Title: grand cherokee

my grand somtimes hesitates for a cpl of seconds when its been  parked for a cpl of hours or when its cold it only does it once each journey somtimes it pops in the exhaust aswell i just throttle through it then its ok ,,any ideas its just had a new cntr box and lamber sensor fitted

on a pre '98 grand ,to get the fault code ,turn the ignition on off on off on and any fault code should appear on the milometer.  12 always shows up which is the reset one,ie power was disconected to reset the ecu.  haynes manuals list the fault codes.

that dosent seem to do anything i just get a normal readout

Just tried it and it works on my '97 grand.Turn the key from the off position to the first position(steering lock off).  From there to the ignition on position and back twice and leave on the third time. took me a few tries the first time.   Anyone else ......
Failing this it'l be a trip to somewhere with the right diagnostic tool.

ok sussed it i get code 45 o2 sensor wheres the o2 sensor???

is it also know as a lamba sensor???

its just had lamba sensor fitted the day before i got the cherry so ill have a good look around tomorrow thanks guys

Somewhere on the down pipe of the exhaust..you can see it looking into the engine bay from the passenger side.......NB Jeep dealer will fix code reading....

it could be due to your fat tumtum  :dance:
