I've just watched the bridges episode on Discovery Channel.
Shamefacedly I've got to admit, it's the first one I've seen
I saw most of its previous incarnation with Mark ('Fast Show') Williams, but not this Rory McGrath series.
This series has a wonderful bonus feature over the Williams series; the co-presenter
It's Claire Barratt :D :D :D :D
Yes, that's right the Engineering Goddess from 'Salvage Squad'

Oh & I think Mr McGrath is driving a Riocja(?) Red 110CSW for the series (bit like the 'Big Yins' tour in the yellow 110 :D )

I met the 'Big Yin' and spent a few hours in his presence when he was doing the World Tour of Great Britain. He has an amazing memory and did everything in one take.
He's nothing like the image that you see on TV.

Rory McGrath
I used to live a few doors away from him in Cambridge, and my 'other' car is his old Audi
(Useless fact no 23).

I don't know why I've missed this so far, as I heard McGraths interview over it on Radio 2
Can't remember if it was with Johnnie Walker, or Mark Radcliffe??
(who has been on, 21:00-22:00, with an interview with Kate Bush)

She can weld, operate a lathe, fix a traction engine, drive a Centurian & more.
Still far better than the Dimmock woman
