Title: 94 RR 3.9L stalling no spark
Post by: menny on September 03, 2004, 20:21:46
Having the following problem with our 94 RR 3.9L. First start up is fine, but after driving a bit and coming to a stop, the engine will rev up then die. It will turn over but won't start. If you let it sit for 3 or 4 hours it will start again. The problem is no spark. The shop that has been working on it for the last 3 weeks has tried to change the distributor, ecu, coil ect., but no luck, its got them stumped. Any suggestions :(

Hi

It may sound stupid ,but on the V8 I used to have , the wiring on the OIL pressure was loose and it would shut the engine down . Maybe you have similar ,or fault in said system.  The system cuts the fuel to the engine and she will then pick up revs and die.
