Title: Suzuki won't get more clearence
Post by: Jamie Pinin on August 29, 2007, 13:25:16
I'v put extended 3" shock absorbers on, then a lift kit of 3" on the front of the leaf springs, but all this seams to do is bend the leaf springs the opposite way, what do i need to do to get it some more clearance. this is a knakered 19 year old thing which is only worth something to me, no big money spent on it. what can i do. Jamie

If you have put extended shackles on the front that is probably the problem.

Depends how much money you want to spend best bet would be to look for some bedford rascal van springs (they are not mega money) you can do a bit of a mix and match with your existing leafs and you get a 2" spring lift which should be better suited to your extended shocks.Reprofiled springs sometimes come up on ebay(you could try a wanted ad on here and difflock.com.I seem to remember Ironman springs are about £40 a corner.Gen x's mate Dunk is getting some springs made so may be worth a mail to him.

if you are just after a set of standard springs i might have a set for nowt in the garage in Northampton

Good luck

Steve
