Will an alternator from a 99 vitara fit a 95...?? 1.6 petrol if it makes any difference......

ron id make sure they same country of manufacture as they tend to change wiring between jap and spanish

I got one off an MPI engine and it was different to mine. but aslong as its a carb fed engine then I think it should fit (Presuming yours is a carb!)
I'm on my third allty now, Must stop going wading!

as long as the base engine is the same 1.6 you shouldnt have any issues. Have had 1.6 CFI, Carb and possibly an MPI (75A) alternator on mine. Just wish they'd last longer.

I"ve never had a problem with the alternator on mine, I just absolutely coat it inside and out with tons of WD40 before I go laning or playing.

Its my own fault, all been second hand ones, current one had a brand new brush box and has survived thus far...

ford dieasel alternators will fit straight on if it's a 3 pin spade plug. Might help you. :)
