Title: Thinking of selling my Sammy.
Post by: V8MoneyPit on March 03, 2007, 14:35:43
I'm not totally sure yet, but I'm contempleting parting company with my 1990 Samurai. I don't want to give it away, so if I can't get a sensible price it'll stay.

It's on 3" KAP springs with ProComp dampers and long braided hoses. It has an overhauled 410 transfer box and a replacement gearbox. Paddle clutch. SU carb and homemade snorkel. 235/75 Macho's on white eight spokes. CB radio.
The arches have the usual rust issues, but the body seems basically sound. I've patched it up in places.
MOT'd and Taxed.

Would it be excessive to expect £750 for it? What do you think. Just sounding you all out before I decide what to do.

Excellent. It was actually a bit sad seeing it being driven away  :( But I'm glad it's with someone who appreciates it.

So, you haven't received a spinal injury yet??   It certainly isn't fast is it? But it gets there.

As you pulled away, it was making that rattling noise from the back again. Honestly, it wasn't doing that before!! I would suggest you take a look inside the rear brake drums. Might be something there.

I was only going to have Steve's SJ bacause of what it was and the hard work Steve put into it, I decided that all jokes aside I am too big for an SJ, the stability was affected by me, I am fairly sure I'm keeping my SJ and using that for the really messy stuff but I've bought a Fourtrak too, mainly for laning and non voilent playdays..... it owes me about £  400, even with the drivers side "Characterised" id see that on Eblag but essentially there's nothing wrong with it!
