Title: How good is the Pajero EVO?
Post by: Fuddy as muck on November 01, 2008, 11:57:19
How good are these off road? 3.5 Mivec engine with 280ps  Just wondering how good these are for an offroader as they were built for the dakar rally but obviously the dakar is more sand than mud. Does the engine struggle if its partially submerged in water etc? I could be vey interested in buying one of these if they tick the boxes.

take a trip over to POCUK and have a lok at their Evo pages...
just wondering why you'd want to take an evo in the sticky stuff? buy a swb V6 and have as much for for about 1/4 of the price.

Jammy git!!
3.0 V6 is BASED on the same block - but minus a few ponies.......it has a different chassis - suspension - panels etc etc etc in other words if you do break anything be prepared for a 2nd and 3rd mortgage! Bits come from Japan ONLY!

The EVO is not as good as a standard Paj off road as it has got a completely different suspension set up with nowhere the articulation of a standard Paj but on road that's a different story.

absoloute animal on the road! whilst i was on my terminal leave from the raf i helped a mate at his dealership shifting all sorts of imported motors about, had a play in one then,  it wasnt standard though it had had quite a bit done to it and it left a 3.2 v6 audi tt for dead! got a bit scary at around double the leagal speed limit  :police:(on private road of course ) :police: because the bonnet started to flap about a bit! would love one! but wouldnt dream of taking it offroad! got the j-top for that!
