just had a look through and it looks a bit of a con.

you have to pay in order to bid on something, so a minimum of £10 (gives you so many bids) and then the ammount of the actual bid on top!)

What a con!!!

I was watching a TomTom Go 730T GPS Sat Nav. I joined it when the counter was counting down from 1min27 seconds.

I watched all the way to 9 seconds and there was a flurry of bidding raising the price to £8.00 odd! but then the clock reset and went back to 3min 50 seconds!!

I've kept watching and the countdown keeps reaching 4 or 5 seconds to go, there is a flurry of bidding then the clock went back to 10 seconds, then did this 8 times before I got bored and closed it!!

I've just taken a look at the "how to" page and it says this

New to TeleBid?
Welcome to TeleBid, home of some of the most exciting auctions on the internet.  Our auctions work a little bit differently - once you’ve got the hang of them, we think you’ll love them.

There’s a few key things that are different from other auctions you might have used online:

Bidding on our auctions starts at just 7p, with no reserve prices.
The price only goes up by 7p with each bid placed.
If a bid gets placed in the final moments, we extend the auction by up to 40 seconds.
There’s a small charge for each bid placed: this helps us offer you such amazing bargains

so they jusy keep extending the auction till they get the price they want!!
