1992 200Tdi 3 door - Range Rover alloys, No sunroofs (means No leaks - well OK Less leaks) towbar..below average miles for the year, and best of al LOOONG tax and test..plus it means we're getting rid of the Espace
basically swaped the espace for it...
Will post pics up as soon as I have some..
HAPPY BUNNY

congratulations, ive got a disco 200tdi and love it, its the best motor ive had, so far lol
-
Its a nice feeling when you get a new motor.
-
well I have had a 200 series V8 on carbs - 300 Tdi x 2 .. so this is my 1st 200tdi...so this makes the set of early disco's.. need a td5 now - lol
-
well its here!!
previous owner had it for 18 days!!!!!!
Oh well his loss, apart from him its had 4 owners, so not too bad -failed last MOT on welding - which was done (looks like front inner wings - and possible patch on the rear floor, also had some power steering work and exhaust) so touch wood it should be a good 'un.
All door locks work perfectly...including the rear door, very quiet mechanically, but could possibly do with a service..
PROBLEMS
Horn and Hazards dont work (fuse??????????)
No Cubby box
reverse lights are worked off a switch...
Drivers seat is fubard - usual frame broken
and has LARGE spotlights fitted - the sort with sidelights and dip....but theyre Fekkin bright..even on dip beam - so they may be put onto a switch or wired onto beam..
Will get some pics sorted in the light and get em posted..
-
Just so you know, it's only legal to have 1 set of sidelight apparently :-k and you can only use 1 pair of dipped beams as dipped beams. I think you might find they are meant to be fog lights though and probably cost a lot of money.

think they are going to be taken off headlights - and just wired into beam..only driven it for about an hour in the dark - and theyre already peeing me off!!!!
Stupid idea really..
Think the items not working are all related to 1 fuse..as we have NO HAZARDS HORN or CLOCK..something to look at in the daylight, just arranged to get the dricers seat frame welded over the weekend (will keep my eyes open for a good 2nd hand one )
drives really well - and pulling power puts our old 300's to shame up hill in 3rd plant ya foot and hold on :O:O

Well been called a few names today, just taken hubby and friend 7 hours to remove - reapir and refit drivers seat.
Front 'swivel' mounting had seized - so previous owner had forced the seat forward which had torn all the fittings underneath, so had to re-weld and also make some infill pieces, free the base off and refit all the seat springs..result is a seat that now tips as it should and also keeps ya ass off the floor
Also found a lot of rot in the outer sills :'( but the mate that helped with seat (well ok he did the work hubby watched/helped) has offered to hel[p with welding..just need to get it over the pit and see what else needs doing!
-
If the sills a re going expect the body mounts to be shot and the rear crosmember/chassis mounts too.
