hi all
i was just wanderin if anyone here has done a bobtail pickup witha 4door?
just i bought a 3.5 carbed v8 to put the engine in the proper bobtail but 1/2 way through stripping it it looks quite tidy odd hole in the sills but apart frm that looks solid, well that was last weekend soo yday it was out witht the good old grinder!now with the back right in and being a later 1 its cut right off to the spring seats. well any way, the roof has a skanky fiberglass cover on it and it also has a skanky sunroof/hole, neway has anyone got any ideas how to hold the back of the roof on once i scraped enuff of it 2gether 2 make a cab, e.g supports etc. for the rear?remembering its a 4door? and if youve done it with a 4door then cud i have some pics, cheers

It doesn't look bobtailed to me.
Looks like the roof has been shorterned and the tailgate
moved but the chassis still looks the same length.

its all done now!!, its first comp on sunday, what it did it did well but the lack of good organisation was a flaw in the day but never mind! went out playing last nightaswell, did well and this is a standard wood and picket rrc, but the rear arches dug in, soo this eve it was out with the angle grinder!, no pics of the finished product, and btw does anyone know if wood and picket hardened the suspension because its a lot stiffer than standard rangie i think, just waiting for the blue paint fairy to come now!!

Looks even longer with that (IMHO) rather silly looking bumper thing sticking out.

So he's done all the hard work (the body) and left the easy bit (the chassis) alone to get in the way!
