Hi all can someone help me I have a 1989 Ranger Rover witch I can not open the drivers side back door and I can not see how to get the card off it to try and fix it can someone tell me how too :-s Thanks

the card should "pop" off, then you should be able to get to the workings of the door handle, which are fairly easy to adjust.
Happy ney year!!

can you not even open the door from the inside?
-
No I think the bar as come off you can not open it from inside or outside

sounds like you're gonna have to be a little destructive!

Pull the drivers seat right forewards or take it out, remove the rear seats in the space you have just made for yourself.
The pull handle has a screw in the bottom, as does the door opener aperture. The door lock surround slides up under considerable pressure then (I think) the door card pops off at the bottom and hooks over the inner skin at the top. If worst comes to worst, destroy the door car not the door!
Check the door is unlocking properly, if the mechanism gets sticky or one of the springs goes the lock won't stay unlocked after the central locking unlocks. Also check it isn't the childpfoofing function. It seems unusual that both inner and outer handles don't work because they connect to the lock body in different places.
