Title: Fitting an exhaust on a Maverick?
Post by: craigderby on November 27, 2009, 17:03:48
Has anyone fitted an exhaust on a LWB Maverick?

The front pipe is blowing on my wife's so she's been in an exhaust place today and they reckon it's a 2 hour job as they have to remove the subframe  :?

Sounds a bit over the top for just an exhaust.

A friend done mine recently and had to drop the cross member to get the exhaust on . Only 4 bolts I believe and no where near 2 hours.

Thanks Brian. I think I'll just do it myself  ;)

Think you have to prop the gearbox up. He didn't swear much so can't be that hard

Yip the X-member often has to be lowered due to room needed but you might be able to wiggle the pipe over the x-member if your lucky :roll:had mine done at an exhaust place but I stood & watched him do it & IIRC the x-member was just removed (no gearbox support needed) & the front pipe was replaced

I'd not had chance to do it, so the missis took it to another place today.  They did it for £63, and it took around 30mins, so not too bad
