Title: What's it worth?
Post by: sardonicus on February 29, 2008, 17:47:00
I'm thinking of selling my converted rangie ambulance sometime later this year ,after I ve done a few trips in it.
Was wondering what it might be worth,I know what I would like to get for it,but thats not always possible in the real world!
An unusual and rare vehicle in its own right.Everything works as it should ,bog standard 3.5 carbed V8,4sp LT95, 6xDeCarbon shocks & hd springs allround, extensive rebuilding of footwells/A posts/sills/bulkhead and body to chassis mounts, twin batts.eberspacher 1800w diesel heater with separate tank, sink cooker, double bed.MOT august.Well maintained all its life ,engine runs purrfect.32000miles.
Not putting a price on it yet ,so dont ask, unless its an offer I really couldnt refuse!

It's worth what someone will pay.  Have you ever seen another one sold? is there much demand?

I would have thought the issue was finding someone really "into" one. Have to say though, once you find thiese individuals it must be worth a fair bit surelly? Even for interst value, and it must be rare. Alot would depend on the conversion as well, i am assuming it is a "dealer fit or option or something?" I dont really know!

What do you reckon, i would have thought 4.5K-7K, wide range i know.... What do others think.

I would struggle to sell that, my other half would love to go away in that. Must be much much more interesting than using a tent or caravan. Keep it!
