Post by: wizard on July 20, 2009, 19:14:54
Mrs wizards 1998 Freelander is leaking fluid from the ABS unit.
Has anyone ever replaced one of these and is it a like for like swap ? Then just bleed the system as per normal.

Regards wizard

I seem to remember dire warnigns about various maintenece tasks on ABS systems as it runs at high pressure and can remain pressurised even when the pedal is not pressed. I think you need to remove all power (disconnect battery) or something before opening it up, best to check with a service manual if you can get hold of one. event any reading about ABS in general may be a good diea.
