i have a M reg 300tdi,for some reason the indicators have stopped working, they worked fine and then i wnet to use them and nothin, is it common for the stalks to go nakered?
also, my fuel gauage and temp sender have also stopped working, but popped back on the other night when i hit a bump and then of again, i have checked the connections in the top of the tank and they are fine
any help be greatly apreciated

On my series 3 it was the fuse holder as they all share the same one I think. The fuse holder was corroded. A quick whizz with wire wooll/emery paper and its fine. If you use wire woll obviously be careful not to leave any around to short things out. In fact use paper not wool.

Hi Folks
Had a similar problem with my older 90 a few years ago (just in time for the M.o.T...) where the indicators wouldn't but the hazards did work.
turned out that the hazard switch was, in fact, 'Broken'!
Swapped it for a known 'good' switch and all was well, and got the ticket from Mr. M.o.T.
Don't ask me how it works, but it did.
Hope this helps,
Regards, Chris
