Title: 3.5v8 efi gurgling noise
Post by: Ballo1000 on March 04, 2008, 16:49:40
Can i pick your brains. I have as mentioned a 1989 3.5 efi and it's running fine bar one iritating thing. I have bled the colling system several times now but after a couple of weeks i get air gurgling through the matrix again. No water loss, can't smell any gases in the coolant it just keeps happening. Any ideas?  :-k

Did you fill the water up by pouring it into ther matrix pipe along the top of the RH bank? or by topping up the header tank?  If the later then that's your problem.  Fill the coolant briskly through the brass plug on top of the heater supply pipes on the RHS of the engine.

Yes probably, what you can do though is bleed some air out of the brass screw once you have some pressure in the coolant.
