Post by: wrecker on August 06, 2007, 20:52:51
hi guys, thought id pop a post on hear as my mate is having real probs with his rangy,

he went thro some water,3 ft ah the most and the motor just stoped,

i took off ecu b4 the water coverd it so did not get wet,

we took of the dizzy, bone dry,all the plugs out and turned it over and just a very very fine mist came out,air filter was damp but not soaked,

we have now put brand new, dizzy, rotor arm, leads and plugs,
but will turn over no prob but will never fire up,

the only thing i can think of is on some you can hear the pump ticking away, but carnt hear it on his, when you first turn the rangy on,are we on the right sort of track hear or way off

hope this makes sence to you,
thanks for your time mark :D

Yes it's quite possible the fuel pump is doing nothing, the water could have damaged the wiring or it could be unrelated.  The rerlay could also be damaged.

The wiring it very easy to see on a steel tank, under the NS wing.
